Overview

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our team at Codetoday.  Our marketing is digitally focused however our role is not limited to this one area.  We currently work with a great marketing business however we are now adding to the team and creating this new role.  The external marketeer will continue to work with us so whilst you will be responsible for all marketing (detailed below) within Codetoday you will have direct, and regular access, to an experienced expert.

This role is remote and whilst we are based in Camden, London, you can work from anywhere in the UK where you have excellent wifi (you MUST be based in the UK).  The role is typically 10am – 2.30pm daily (just over 0.5FTE) but we are very happy to discuss how this working pattern would work best for you, we can even be flexible around the number of hours for the right person.

We expect the Digital Marketeer to be responsible for the following:

  • Social Media – all areas from monthly reporting, post planning, creation and publishing and community management.

  • E-Newsletters – all areas from creation to publishing

  • Ensuring our website is up-to-date.

In addition, you will be part of the monthly editorial meeting along with the weekly stand ups.  You will work heavily with the business owner, the external marketeer and designers

We hope that as you develop in the role and your knowledge and understanding of Codetoday grows, you will grow into a more senior role.  We see the more senior role as someone who could take overall responsibility for medium to long term planning along with an overall strategy for success.  We’ll support you in this goal but it will help if you are already metric and customer driven – we can see the impact of everything we do in the short term so you must be able to analyse and adapt.

About codetoday

We deliver programming training to children and adults. The children are typically in the range 7-16 years old and taught in small groups in online courses. Our courses for adults focus on professionals who want to learn programming as an additional skill.

It’s important that you are aware of, and believe in, our approach, philosophy and ethos as this is what drives our excellent retention rate of clients. We teach ‘proper’ programming as an essential tool to support development of a systematic and logical way of problem solving. We guide students towards becoming independent programmers, fostering their imagination and creativity. With our students we build an atmosphere in which experimentation is strongly encouraged and failure is not to be feared, aiming to leave them transformed in a positive way, confident and enthused by the new skills they have learned.
