More places announced for February Half Term.

The demand for our February courses at Swiss Cottage Library has been huge so we've decided to add two further half-day sessions to the roster. This is in addition to the sessions already in place so the full schedule now includes:

Monday - Wednesday half day (morning or afternoons only)

Monday - Wednesday full day

Monday - Friday half day (morning or afternoons only)

Monday - Friday full day

Course content

All students will follow the codetoday curriculum designed to cover the basics of coding in Python and then quickly getting hands on with writing their first programme. Once the students have mastered a certain skill level they then move to explore various projects led by their interests. Codetoday instructors guide and assist the students encouraging them to be creative with code.

Returning students join in straight away at their current level.

Course location

February Half Term coding courses are run from Swiss Cottage Library in North London. We've specifically chosen this venue for its accessibility and its size allowing us to split the group into much smaller working groups of similar age and ability.

Course practicality

Codetoday specialise in teaching coding in Python, one of the world's most popular coding languages. We DON'T use dumbed down languages to teach our students and we believe this is vitally important. We've designed a curriculum that ensures students as young as age 7 can learn Python, moving at a pace that suits them. Beyond simply teaching the coding language we emphasise skill development, which is probably better summed up by Steve Jobs when he said "learning to code teaches you how to think". This coding mindset is what we really want our students to develop, as it's this skill that acts as a jumping board for many other subjects and coding languages. The saying "it's easy to learn a third language once you have a second" is also very true for coding!
